On 14th August 2020, Prashant Bhushan, a legal activist was convicted of a serious charge of criminal contempt of court. This came after Mr Bhushan made two tweets in criticism of the state of the judiciary and the story has been a dramatic turn of events that unfortunately has resulted in criticism of the supreme court and a dangerous precedent for free speech in the Democratic Republic of India. The following episode talks about the incident and the legal background and repercussions of the same.

This episode, I get on a call with Himanshi Parmar, an artist and academically a communications designer and Aditi Rakhe, an Art Historian and an Architect to talk about the philosophy of Aesthetic. I recently read Wittgenstein and wanted a session of learning about other theories or aesthetic and how it has come to represent the human experience,  perceptions and understanding. I know most of you must be tired of hearing of the wall of perception at this point, but that's what I ended up contributing to the discussion, and we talked about memetic theory in the context of the aesthetic and gender along with politics.

For this episode, I collaborated with TIFA Working Studios and got in touch with Angus Joseph, a gentleman who was involved in viral marketing using the memetic theory and sort of engaged in the science of memeing in the mid-2000s, and we get insights into how information spreads through memes. Angus also tells us about his experience with a Doki-Doki literature club-sque marketing experiment where they marketed a company that didn't exist for a while, and we discuss the way propaganda spreads through social media.

Over the course of the last week, the theories surrounding the deep state and QAnon have resurfaced and have seen the exposure/impressions like never before, mostly because of the new development in the conspiracy about the theorised child trafficking ring and involvement of the eCommerce site "Wayfair furniture". The theory, as most would've figured, is a hoax and a leap that's fairly well constructed to have a lot of face value. This episode goes through explaining the conspiracy theory and further providing arguments for why it's not real.
