Deep is the Founder & Group Executive Chairman of India's leading online travel company, MakeMyTrip Limited. He has steered MakeMyTrip as CEO since its inception in 2000, to a successful listing on NASDAQ in August 2010.

 

He is the co-chair of CII's National Committee on Tourism and Hospitality, founding member of IndiaTech.Org & is on the Board of TiE NCR Chapter and served as President from 2013 to 2016. He is also one of the founding members of Ashoka University & an NGO ‘I am Gurgaon’.

 

He has been recognized by Ernst & Young as Entrepreneur of the Year—Business Transformation (2011), and as the most powerful Digital influencer in India (2012) by KPMG. TTG Asia awarded him Best Travel Entrepreneur of 2012 at the TTG Travel Awards. Deep is passionate about Sustainable Tourism and has been championing this cause through MakeMyTrip Foundation. He holds an MBA degree from IIM, Ahmedabad and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi
