The mature Christian relies on God’s wisdom, words, and ways in conflict.

In our sin we can run to a God whose grace is greater than our sins.

In coming to know Jesus better we come to better know ourselves.

Paul sets forth the idea that love is not strictly bound to what we do. Rather, it sits at an intersection of thoughts, deeds, and intentions. As our culture is in a desperate search for examples of authentic love, Christ is our perfect example. He continuously served and loved imperfect people with a pure heart, mind, and motivation.

Luke is giving us reason to have confidence in our faith because Jesus has authority like no one else.

Luke is the only gospel author that includes the story of Zechariah and Elizabeth. He uses this story to encourage our faith by rooting the story of the gospel in Old Testament history and demonstrates again that the God of the Bible overcomes our sin and brokenness.

God uses the author, Luke, to encourage our ebbing and flowing faith with the story of Jesus.

The resurrection of Jesus Christ is personal, comforting, and reliable.

The Crucifixion must move us toward a response to God’s love.

The only trustworthy and faithful person is Jesus.
