So of course we know that dirt is alive because it produces all kinds of manner of vegitative fruitfulness. Isn't this why Jesus gave them and us the story about the condition of soil? It's a story right out of the Garden of Eden in which He placed Adam, red dirt, to tend to the soil in the garden so that it too would be fruitful and multiply. Isn't it like God to give us so many parallels from just one product and in this case it is dirt. 

The seed reacts to the quality of the soil and produces henceforth. Not sure if that word fits but I like it so there it is. The Word of God is the seed that is sown into you, a person made from soil. Now but the quality of that soil is dependant on the quality of your relationship with God. If it is all living then it will over power the seed and and dormatise it or kill it. If however, the soil consists of the living Word, water, and some dead stuff, namely you, then the harvest can stretch to 100 fold. See for yourself.

Ah yes and Gen X 'ers says I know where he got this saying. He has to have brothers and sisters because no doubt he remembers his mother belting this out whenever there was a habble scrabble among the kids in the back seat of the hot smokey car. You see I had to justify our behavior. We had big cars when growing up including a red Catalina Station Wagon. But oh was it hot in the summer. She tried to take my finger and she did take my front teeth.
 
 But no the message is about those of us who think this is possible while also growing into the image of Christ. Paul's head was handed to him even though he said to get along with all men if it were possible. Now we know what he meant. That he wants to battle satan through humanity as if the satanic peeps knew what was happening to them. No, we do everything to get along, but know that as you look more Christ-Like trouble will hunt you down to test you at every turn. But you know we got this right? Yuppy we do.

Isn't salvation a matter of black, grey, or white? Ah you got me...you already know what I am doing. I am going to have to find new tricks. Salvation is not a matter of colors but of your position in and to God. It's not actually about sin. No wait don't hang up just yet. Hear me out. Jesus paid for all of sin, not just yours or mine or others but the price was paid for all of sin. Even for those still willfully still living in it. 
 
 So if you say I am going to take a shower, you first must get by that dollar tree shower that as you walk past it, it magnetizes itself to you and hugs you like a bear. The shower represents your relationship with God in all of its glory. The shower curtain represents sin. When you are in the shower the curtain did not go away but in fact actually serves a beneficial purpose. Sin can and does do the same thing.

By the title you can tell I am speaking us'ins. To those who are or think that they have salvation all wrapped up. If you consider that only 50% of the virgins had it right, then you may be compelled to take a looksee. Jesus stated that narrow is the path that leads to life and there are few who find it. 
 
 Yes to Jesus is the beginning not the end.  
 
 Saying you are a Christian without any evidence that you are is worthy of a second listen. All of my messages are good but this one is good and important...and shareable and wearable. Ok so stop you know me I like word rhymes, that's the only reason I said wearable.
