Deepak-Raj Gupta has been many 'firsts' in his lifetime. Deepak was the first person of Indian origin to run in an ACT election, under the Australia Labor Party in 2016. Deepak, was sworn in, in July 2019, becoming the first Indian-born person to hold the position of a Member of the Legislative Assembly in the Australian Capital Territory.
