Defective Geeks

It has been awhile since the Lady Geeks got to rejoice in some Fast and Furious 8 movie news… but they did (mainly SPQ and Gizzy B, of course)! More casting news, Fandom Word of the Day and a special Fanfic Theatre.

This Fanfic Theatre Remix will take you way, way back and you will hear voices you haven’t heard in awhile! Get ready for some disturbing throwback readings though. You were warned.

Fortune Cookie talks about Engrish for Fandom Word of the Day, and Gizzy B, once again, cries happy tears over Jeff Goldblum. Specifically, Jeff Goldblum joining the cast of Thor: Ragnarok. Fanfic Theatre: The Matrix.

Fanfic Theatre Mix #2 is here with a dramatic collection of stories from past podcast episodes, curated together to bring you joy this week.

The Space Pirate Queen sits down with Marie Lu and Aun-Juli Riddle to discuss books, tea and how much sugar we had that night. Marie touches a bit on her current book projects (INCLUDING BATMAN!) and Juli talks about how she got started creating her geek themed tea over at Riddle’s Tea Shoppe!

Fortune Cookie gets yelled at for watching Civil War when she has never seen Age of Ultron. Gizzy B and SPQ are both very disappointed in her right now. Warning: Captain America Civil War SPOILERS!

Space Jam 2, Interview with a Vampire remake, The Craft sequel—nothing from our childhood is sacred or safe. Especially the Power Rangers and its new cast of Justin Bieber lookin’ mofos. Admittedly, we’re kind of excited for most of it. Fanfic Theatre: Vampire Diaries x Captain America.

Scarlett Johansson as a Japanese android? CLOSE ENOUGH…. NOT! The Lady Geeks discuss Whitewashing in Hollywood and why Zack Snyder may be a secret feminist. Fanfic Theatre: Star Wars.
