Defending Your Movie

Well first I'd like to apologize for dropping this episode a day late as I've been terribly sick. Unfortunately there's no bonus discussion here as it's straight business as I struggle with my sick voice to give you all the information you need for Friday's episode. I also take a look at some of the iTunes reviews left by a couple listeners. As always be sure to check out the tumblr for access to this week's script (www.shelvedfilmpodcast.tumblr.com) and you can follow us on twitter @shelvedpodcast and be sure to email the show at [email protected]. There's a special announcement at the end of the episode so be sure to check it out!

This week Jeremy says the correct email address for the first time as he gathers with his fellow Star Wars geek Maggie to discuss George Lucas’s original rough draft for The Star Wars. This is quite an interesting read that is a must for any Star Wars fan that may have heard the stories but doesn’t know the details. Jeremy and Maggie dive deep into the mind of George Lucas and try to figure out how George Lucas went from this draft, to the Star Wars trilogy we all know and love today. Welcome to the second mini episode. In this episode before episode 3 your host Jeremy Meyer tells you the next script up for discussion. There's also a bonus conversation about the teen sex comedies of the early 2000's. You can find the script for the next episode at www.shelvedfilmpodcast.tumblr.com and you can email the show at [email protected].

Well we made it to a second episode! It's officially a podcast. This episode is timed with the release of the new Resident Evil movie in theaters. Resident Evil The Final Chapter. A film series that has spanned 14 years and made hundreds of millions of dollars worldwide, but has always been met with tepid response. Before the series launched, George Romero, the zombie king, turned in a draft to Capcom in 1998 that they then shot down. I sat down with my horror obsessed friend Vinny Malave to discuss this rejected take on the classic franchise. As always you can follow us on social media. Welcome to the first official mini episode. This episode is here to inform our dear listeners of the next script we will be talking about in the next full episode. There's also some corrections at the beginning of the episode in relation to the social media and email. The hose Jeremy Meyer also takes a time out to discuss his feelings on X-Men Apocalypse which he recently finally got around to watching.
