Silver Bear Recordings announce new signing, Kilig, to the label. After a strong end to 2019, the Night Tales (London) resident landed DJ Mag’s release of the month in November 2019, and aims to make another big impression with new EP ‘Blue Coat, Red Dress’.

Kilig successfully merges industrial, minimal and ambient elements to forge a new-take on London’s signature rave sound. Ben UFO, Call Super, Soairse, Batu, Ross From Friends, Overmono and Midland are all fans, and has been named on the BBC Introducing ‘Hot List’. Consistently picking up great reviews from their peers on an abundance of unreleased music they continue to play an ever wider sphere of revered clubs.

We are proud to present yet another debut on Axces Records. Following DJ Popmix, labelhead Alfredo92 delivers the third addition to the evolving soundscapes of Axces. As a long-time collaborator with co-founder Kasper Marott, Alfredo92 has set the direction of Axces Records and now adds a new and perhaps more experimental layer to the sound that defines Axces Records. A direction even closer to the dj-sets of the founding duo “The tracks on this EP actually goes back a couple of years. Only Mimis was produced recently. But with all of them, I have tried and tested them on the dancefloor”.

The A-side kicks off with Mimis, an explorative bass driven track with crisp snares and bubbling synthesizers, ready to take on any soundsystem that can handle it. Next up is the title track Helfand that combines experimental sounds, rhythms and textures into an almost mystical direction. Fast detailed drum-programming makes it a track, both suited for house-heads and techno-stompers. On the flip, the first cut is Adax_pcp. A hypnotic club belter which further explores complex pulsating outernational rhythms. Sealing the deal is Scalex that sends the listener on a voyage of twisted futuristic dancehall.

“Mimis and Adax_pcp are produced directly with the dance floor in mind, whereas Helfand and Scalex are leaning towards the edge of what a dance floor can handle. I wanted them to be a bit awkward and not something you can hear any DJ play at any given time, to be honest”.

If you haven’t entered the world of Alfredo92 through a DJ-set yet, you are in for a treat when you get to do so.

Axces 3 can work as entry point into his special and unique musical universe with much more to come.

Soy Piccolo is the firecracker debut EP from Sydney DJ/producer Unpin. Comprised of 6 high-energy dancefloor bombs, the EP traverses a broad range of sounds through acid-house electro and experimental club cuts.

East Tennessee’s Saint Thomas LeDoux debuts on Jacktone Records with Chain Letter EP - a club focused release, featuring four crisply produced complex tracks each motivated by different memories and moments from the last four years.

A member of the Knoxville-based artist collective TEKNOX, Saint Thomas LeDoux and the TEKNOX crew curate underground dance parties for a small community of freaks and rejects. Having released a small handful of productions on imprints including Finale Sessions, Partial Magic, and Junted, on his first EP for Jacktone, Saint draws inspiration from the occurrences of everyday life, like the mental hoops needed to jump through while working on a construction job away from home on the subdued sounds of Patience, or “a PVC recycling plant in my neighbourhood that caught fire and engulfed half the city in toxic fumes” on the playfully energising Trash Fire.

STAUB is a project that came to life in Berlin around 2013. It aimed to detach itself from the hype and business from techno. The idea was simply to not announce a lineup and treat everyone the same without separating headliners from the rest. This strictly equalitarian but also very familial and friendly concept allowed to give chances to newcomers on a regular basis and to build a tight-knit community.

As time passed it also became an outlet to release music staying true to these ethos. Everyone is paid the same, doesn’t matter who you are, it’s all about music and respect.

It has somewhat become customary to have a record ready to celebrate its birthday. As STAUB turns seven, STAUB’s fifth installment (STAUB 5 / IRIS007) will be available at „STAUB – 7 YEARS“ Event at :// about blank.

"Producer and DJ Connor McElhinney, working under the alias 95Bones, draws together disparate threads from dance music’s transatlantic evolution, fusing varied influences to produce recordings that transcend imitation and pastiche to render a new sound with each iteration.

Though the producer’s discography is marked by a willingness to explore any aspect of club music’s beautifully diverse spectrum of rhythms, textures and colours, there are audible touchstones across much of his output: the fluid resonance of acid basslines, the rhythmic turbulence of riotous breaks, and a playful sense of experimentation propelled by a relentless momentum.

Issuing high-voltage releases since 2017’s ‘Blast Chiller’ EP, McElhinney has developed an unyielding work ethic underpinned by a desire to constantly create, experiment and further his techniques. Since his debut, the producer has teamed up with Eyeangle Records and Plus Ultra while forging a close relationship with Scuffed Recordings – this February, he’s releasing his first offering for Sample Delivery, a Paris-based imprint known for their crazed disco edits and raw, uncivilised ventures into ghetto-house.

The forthcoming ‘Lafeyette Pt. 2’ is a four-track exhibition of McElhinney’s extraordinary ability to craft left-field club tracks that innovate and invigorate in equal measure, moving through tempestuous 4/4 delirium and breaks-based hardcore derangement while retaining a sense of brightness and colour through his expert capability behind a mixing desk and a synthesizer.
