Deflection 2020: It's Your Fault, Not Yours!

Listen Later

In this episode I continue my analysis of the far right by...ew, looking at it from their perspective. I know gross, but I was once a member of the far right, and I feel I should share my experience. I once believed many of the conspiracy theories you hear about today. Contrary to popular belief, most people believe in these theories or at least subsets if them. There is a common myth, for example, that one can catch the flu from the flu shot. This conspiracy theory was considered harmless, and now we have a pandemic. My point is that the brain is not designed to retain information. Memory is a neurodegenerative act. This means we do not really remember things as they actually occur. We tend to exaggerate or mute memory to fit our preferences, not just the right, everyone. We all search for answers. However, it seems the more we search for answers the more we miss opportunities to ask questions. Recall, if you will, the countless students sitting in crowded classrooms before the pandemic. How many questions were they allowed to ask? What dreams were they allowed to fulfill? What are they getting out of this grand experiment? How many of them will grow up to be Kyle Rittenhouse? Perhaps the answer is to stop searching, and tonstart asking more questions. And before you reflect, always remeber not to deflect. Enjoy More Content Talk!
