EARNINGS SEASON:

Let's turn to the broader market and the return of earnings season.

Earnings have been mostly a nothing burger. 

MICROSOFT delivered but did not impress. AMAZON tanked on crappy profit, but then corrected somewhat. VERIZON sold phones robustly. As we mentioned, SNAP ate it on lower 4Q guidance, which was unfair.

And yet, the S&P surges forever forward on nebulous CHINA trade optimism.
