Degrassi: Back To Class

Jayson and Alison from the Degrassi AV Club podcast join me for episode 17! It's the 20th anniversary of the Degrassi Convention, the first Degrassi reunion of it's kind. We celebrate by talking all things Degrassi and then I read my fanzine article about the convention. Warning: some major Degrassi tea is spilled in this podcast!

Katie sits down with Michelle Goodeve, who played Ms. Avery, to discuss romance, flying airplanes, rescuing kittens...oh, and Degrassi of course!

In this episode, Katie recaps her adventures in Detroit to Linda, as they drink wine from Motor City Wine (Claude's wine bar)! The most star struck, awkward and nervous version of Katie interviews David Armin-Parcells. Get a glass of wine and have a listen!

Linda and Katie are back with Part 2 of our Degrassi Palooza recap. In this episode, we talk about what happened on Day 2 of the convention and get different takes on the event from other people who were there. We miss y'all already!

Degrassi Palooza Recap Episode 1: So much to say, we had to make this a two part episode (part 2 coming later). We had adventures touring Degrassi fans/friends around Degrassi sites and Day 1 of Degrassi Palooza. Best weekend ever!

Linda and Katie run down everything you need to know for Degrassipalooza. Who will be there? Who will be missed? What are the must-attend events? And more! See ya on the Lone Star dance floor!!

We're back for the holidays! In this episode, Linda and Katie talk about recent Degrassi developments, including the news of Degrassipalooza, and review the Degrassi Junior High episode, "Season's Greetings." Merry Christmas, Broomheads!

Cottage Linda and Cottage Katie are back! Although, we're big Degrassi Junior High and Degrassi High fans, the Kids of Degrassi Street series is NEW to us. So, we decided to sit down, watch and review three episodes of the series: Ida Makes a Movie, Griff Makes a Date and Griff Gets a Hand. We also introduce a new segment on the podcast, "From the Degrassi Library." We read from both Spike and Shane's books to compare their perspectives on losing their virginity. Enjoy!

In episode 9, Linda and Katie catch you up on the Degrassi related events that have been going on in their lives and then bring on Colleen Lam, who played Vivian Wong on Degrassi Junior High and Degrassi High. Colleen discusses her experience as an extra on Degrassi, her idea for a Degrassi reality show and her popularity as a photo junkie on Instagram. Warning: lots of laughs in this episode!

In episode 8, Katie visits San Diego to talk to Craig Driscoll who played Rick Munro in Degrassi Junior High. He opens up about his experience getting cast on the show, why he left and so much more!
