On this edition of the Delaware Valley Journal podcast, state Sen. Bob Mensch (R-Montgomery) talks to DVJ News Editor Linda Stein about his 16 years in the PA state legislature and the upcoming midterm elections. He talks about Gov. Wolf's plan to distribute $2,000 checks, his concerns about inflation and next year's budget.
Mensch also puts on his pundit hat, and he predicts Rep. Tracy Pennycuick will take his place in the state Senate. At the same time, he has concerns about how the statewide GOP candidates will perform in the Delaware Valley.
Hosted by Michael Graham.
On this edition of the Delaware Valley Journal podcast, veteran attorney Wally Zimolong talks to New Editor Linda Stein about his cases on behalf of parents who want to know what schools are teaching their children. Zimolong has brought multiple legal actions on behalf of parents who've encountered public school administrators keeping curriculum and classroom instruction secret.
PLUS: Senator Rick Scott (R-Fla), the head of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, talks about how the 2022 battle to control the U.S. Senate is shaping up. He pushes back on claims the GOP has weak candidates in the field who are putting winnable seats at risk.
Hosted by Michael Graham.
On this edition of the Delaware Valley Journal podcast, longtime GOP operative Michael Caputo -- described as a "longtime acolyte of Republican mischief-maker Roger Stone and ardent former aide and attack-dog defender of Donald Trump" -- talks to DVJ's Linda Stein about his fight to bring voting in PA back in line with the state's constitution.
Caputo explains how the state Supreme Court is playing politics instead of applying the law when it comes to in-person voting. He also gives his take on GOP gubernatorial candidate Sen. Doug Mastriano's unusual strategy for dealing with the press.
Plus -- what are the biggest misconceptions about former President Donald Trump? Saputo's known him for decades and he reveals the Donald's "biggest secret."
Hosted by Michael Graham.
Abington Police Chief Patrick Molloy sits down with Delaware Valley Journal's Linda Stein to discuss the rising crime in Philadelphia that has begun to spill over into the suburbs. He recounts the rising number of gun crimes his officers are encountering and he offers his suggestions for policy approaches to fight back.
Hosted by Michael Graham.
It's the perfect Fourth of July weekend edition of the Delaware Valley Journal podcast: Rep. Ro Khanna (D-Calif) represents the Silicon Valley in Congress, but he grew up in Bucks County, PA. He talks to DVJ News Editor Linda Stein about how his experiences in the Philly suburbs shape his views as one of the leading progressives in Washington, DC.
Khanna also discusses his views on economic equity and his book "Dignity in a Digital Age," and re-asserts his views on the human dignity that comes from productive work.
And at a time when many on the Left are critical of America, Khanna celebrates what he calls the "greatest country in the world."

On this edition of the Delaware Valley Journal podcast, David Callahan, president of the Marcellus Shale Coalition talks about the benefits Pennsylvania and America get from the abundant, clean natural gas found in the Keystone State. DVJournal News Editor Linda Stein asked about PA's different system of taxing natural gas compared to other states, and the revenue benefits for local governments.
And if you're looking for a good-paying job in Pennsylvania -- some with a six-figure salary -- David Callahan knows who you should call!
Hosted by Michael Graham.
Liz Preate Havey takes time out of her (incredibly) busy day to talk Montgomery County politics, election security and November's elections on the DVJournal podcast. DVJ News Editor asks Havey about being Montco GOP county chair, the daughter of former state AG Ernie Preate, and secretary for the state GOP.
Havey also practices law and is the first woman to chair the august 122-year-old Pennsylvania Society. She is also on the board of the National Constitution Center -- not to mention a wife and mother! Get the scoop on GOP politics in Pennsylvania.
Hosted by Michael Graham.
On this edition of the Delaware Valley Journal podcast, state Rep. Craig Williams (R-Chadds Ford) says if Philly D.A. Larry Krasner won't put gun criminals behind bars, someone else should.
He's joined with Rep. Martina White (R-Philadelphia) to extend Act 58 of 2019, a bipartisan legislative effort that provides the attorney general concurrent jurisdiction over gun crime in Philadelphia. Unfortunately, AG Josh Shapiro didn't step up.
No, Williams tells DVJournal News Editor Linda Stein, the people of Philadelphia are paying the price as the city has all but lost control of its streets.
Williams, a former federal prosecutor, also notes the difference between the horrific high-profile shootings in Texas and upstate New York, and the crime plaguing Philadelphia's neighborhoods -- which is largely committed using handguns, not rifles. It's a very different problem that needs a different solution, Williams says.
In a no-holds-barred interview, conservative activist and former U.S. Senate candidate Kathy Barnette says "The Swamp" isn't just Democrats, and she calls out her fellow Republicans over their treatment of her during the primary.
"If we want to talk about election integrity, we have to go beyond just voter IDs and getting rid of no-excuse mail-in ballots. We also have to take a very strong look at partisan journalism," Barnett said. "In the last five days, we had a number of those who are allegedly conservative pulling out the long knives."
She also tells DVJournal News Editor Linda Stein she's not ready to think about a possible 2024 run against Sen. Bob Casey, Jr.
"I'm like the woman who just gave birth to a nine-pound baby," Barnette said. " I'm not thinking about having any more babies. Let's just wait and see what happens."
Hosted by Michael Graham of InsideSources.
On the Delaware Valley Journal podcast, Philadelphia broadcasting legend Dom Giordano talks about the lessons learned from the 2022 Pennsylvania primaries, and what he fears will be the GOP's future in November.
Giordano urges Republican Dave McCormick to stop fighting over undated mail-in ballots and back Dr. Oz -- with an eye toward taking on Sen. Bob Casey, Jr. in 2024. And he says GOP gubernatorial candidate Sen. Doug Mastriano is likely headed for an electoral beatdown against AG Josh Shapiro.
Giordano also discusses the current state of talk radio, and he reveals who his favorite "go-to" guests have been. You'll be surprised!
PLUS: Philadelphia's smoking rate among adults is higher than the national average. For years, smokers have been using vaping and other non-combustible products to break the smoking habit. But the FDA is considering regulations that local vape shop owners fear could crush their businesses and send these former smokers back to cigarettes.
Two experts (with cool British accents, btw!) talk about the anti-science approach of anti-vaping activists: Clive Bates with The Counterfactual, and Guy Bentley at the Reason Foundation.
