God isn’t blind to the evil in the world, he doesn’t enjoy it, he doesn’t ignore it. Evil grieves God’s heart and God is a God who acts to judge wickedness. We can trust God to judge evil. Though a terrible reality, I think this passage is a gift that helps us to understand why everything is broken and keep us from letting suffering take us away from God.
