If something takes me longer to do, I should charge more for it. If it takes me less time to do, I should charge less for it. It’s dishonest to charge a lot for something that’s easy for me to do, because I’m paid for time and effort. But what if your effort isn’t really what people are paying for?
In this episode I’m talking to Fox Geere about the idea “I’m only worth the effort I put in”. We’ll explore how under-valuing your work reduces your ability to serve people. We’ll discuss whether being friends with someone means you shouldn’t charge them for what you do. We’ll see if it’s possible to do purpose-led work and make a profit at the same time.
