Professor Jacqueline Close discusses the effects of delirium on patient outcomes and highlights recent research in this area. Jacqui provides information regarding strategies for preventing delirium such as pain management, nutrition and hydration, time to surgery, bladder and bowel management and involvement of carers. This is followed by a short Q&A session with Dr Hannah Seymour.
