In philosophical and religious contexts, a demiurge usually talks about a divine being or craftsman responsible for making the physical world. The concept of a demiurge is mentioned in Neoplatonism, Gnosticism, and in Plato’s writings.
Daemons, sometimes spelled daimon, refers to a guiding inner spirit or divine sign that Socrates believed guided him through his life. Not to be confused with the modern concept of a demons what are usually thought to be evil supernatural beings. Socrates daemons served as a source of guidance and moral insight.
