The Democratic National Convention begins today in Chicago. President Joe Biden will give the keynote address in a pass-the-torch moment in which he will set the stage for the Democratic Presidential nominee, Vice President Kamala Harris.

Tens of thousands of protesters rally in the streets of Chicago outside the arena where the convention is being held, many supporting the Palestinians and calling on the Democratic party to end its support of Israel.

In Jerusalem, Secretary of State Antony Blinken meets Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and says Israel supports "bridging proposal" to bridge the divide between Israel and Hamas over a ceasefire and hostage release agreement.

Donald Trump talks about a new House Republican committee report that says President Biden committed impeachable offenses through alleged abuse of power and obstruction of justice in the financial dealings of his son Hunter and associates.

Former Rep. George Santos (R-NY) pleads guilty to wire fraud and aggravated identity theft in the federal fraud case, a case that led the U.S. House to expel him last year.
