  • 26-09-27 Meet Christiana
Meet Christiana Faith Debate: Sunday, September 27th, 2026 (10/04/26 on 930 WFMD in Frederick, Maryland) Does history warn against Christian avoidance of "Artificial Intelligence"? In other words, are saints today repeating the strategic error of early 20th-Century fundamentalism? In the 1920s–1940s significant sectors of Christianity responded to cultural/intellectual hostility by withdrawing from universities, media, & public institutions; a posture that ceded enormous cultural influence for generations. The result wasn't the preservation of orthodoxy so much as the marginalization of orthodox Christianity from the formation of cultural institutions. Figures such as J Gresham Machen fought against this withdrawal, arguing that Christians must engage & reform institutions, rather than abandon them. The Faith Debate wondered if Christian avoidance of AI is the beginning of another decades-long strategic retreat that future generations will lament, asking if separation from culture has ever produced a more Christian culture. Can the church sanctify what it abandons? You're encouraged to go listen to these shows. In the meantime, this episode is part 2 of a 4-part conversation on the subject of spiritual visions/apparitions. • The Teachings of Demons
This sermon examines the warning in 1 Timothy 4 regarding false teachings that arise in the last days, specifically focusing on the prohibition of marriage and the mandated abstinence from foods. The message argues that such doctrines are demonic in origin because they contradict God's declaration that all creation is good and to be received with thanksgiving. By citing historical examples like the Roman Catholic priesthood and various ascetic movements, the text illustrates how legalistic requirements can function as a form of deception that denies the goodness of God's design. The central theological point is that while individual conscience and voluntary self-denial are permissible, imposing these restrictions as binding law on the church constitutes a lie that stems from the father of lies. The sermon concludes by urging believers to guard against these deceitful spirits and to affirm the holiness of God's creation through prayer and gratitude.

  • Disarming Triumph
This sermon explores the theological significance of Colossians 2:15, presenting the cross not merely as a scene of atonement but as a battlefield where God achieved a decisive victory over demonic forces. The central message argues that through the crucifixion, Christ disarmed principalities and powers, stripping Satan of his ability to accuse believers because their sins have been fully paid for. By making a public spectacle of these defeated enemies, God reversed the apparent shame of the cross into a display of divine triumph and authority. The tone is celebratory and pastoral, encouraging the congregation to view the Lord's Table as a memorial of this ultimate victory rather than defeat. The exposition connects the forgiveness of sins with the neutralization of Satan's accusations, affirming that there is no condemnation for those in Christ.

The message highlights that Jesus actively seeks out those who are bound by darkness, offering liberation and restoration that leaves individuals permanently changed. It concludes with a call to remain steadfast in faith and prayer to prevent the return of evil influences, asserting that salvation is found only in Jesus Christ.
