In this episode I interview Janet Lee who works in higher education and Darlesa Cahoon who works in the corporate sector. We explore how instructional design is the same and how it is different across the different contexts. Sometimes we think it will be completely different only to discover that it is actually quite alike.
This is the first part of a series.

Welcome to Demystifying Instructional Design - a podcast where I interview instructional designers about what they do. I'm Rebecca Hogue, your podcast host.
For season three I'm going to do a something a little different - I'm going to be interviewing two instructional designers at the same time - from different sectors - to help compare how instructional design is different in one sector versus the other.
My first interview will be with Janet Lee whose work focuses in high ed instructional design and Darlesa Cahoon who works in corporate instructional design for a large airport!
In order to create rich interviews, I'd like to hear about what you would like me to ask my guests. Please go over to the Demystifying Instructional Design website, and leave a comment on the blog post for this announcement.
What do you want to know about instructional design?
If you are an instructional designer and would like to be interviewed for demystifying instructional design, please fill in the Be My Guest form.
Thanks
I'm looking forward to this season.
Cheers,
Rebecca

Eva is a lifelong trainer, analyst, intermittent project manager and relatively new ID. She found my passion for instructional design later in life, proving to herself it’s never too late to make a change. She finds that instructional design allows both her tech geek side and creative side room to grow. Her niche has always been in healthcare and systems. She is very fortunate to have had the opportunity grow my career in tandem with the changes in healthcare and technology. She came to ID having been in the shoes of her learners, so she approaches it as a partnership. She is an avid reader, cellphone photographer, and tries to learn something new almost every day.
