Torah Therapist or Torah Terrorist?

Sorry, I couldn't resist! Dena is a return guest, she is a therapist and has many years of training and much wisdom and skill to share with those who have suffered from various forms of trauma.

There are way too many Torah terrorists i.e., wolves in sheep's clothing wandering around within our congregations, synagogues, and even home fellowships. Did you think they were only "out there"? Brothers and sisters,  2 Corinthians 2:11 says Lest satan should get an advantage of us: for we are NOT ignorant of his devices. Did you know that sex traffickers prey right under our noses? Ignorance is not bliss! We are called to be as wise as serpents and as harmless as doves! What on earth does that mean to be wise as serpents? I wonder if it means to be as wise AS the serpents slithering among us! For us to be as wise, or better yet, wiser, we need to be educated on the slithering tactics he implements.

Many of you know I am a big proponent of education! Sometimes it is a wise use of our time to take a class or a course on being trauma-informed, read a book on addictions and its link to mental health, or watch an educational video on the topics of addiction, spousal abuse, and narcissism, how about the topics of child sexual abuse and the hot topic of sex trafficking.

Ignorance is costly! It puts us and our beloved communities at risk of being a victim of his wiley traps.
