Denise Kendrick is co-founder, along with her husband Bruce, of Embrace Ministries in McKinney. Embrace supports foster and adoptive families as they provide homes to abused, neglected and orphaned children. Denise believes strongly in the scriptural mandate to churches to care for orphans and the poor. Part of Embrace's ministry is to assist churches in hosting Respite nights for these families (Frisco First is hosting one on April 15th - for more info go to Frisco First's website). The Kendricks have hosted 30 foster children in their home, and have nine children of their own.
