Jenny Fletcher (Saville) sits down in the Noisy Narratives guest chair to discuss her experience as a teenage model and moving across the world to follow her dreams. Jenny shares how God impacted her life through difficult challenges, and how He walks with her when she is fighting the perfectionism in her head.
We are kicking off season 5 of Noisy Narratives a little later than usual because Debbie was on sabbatical for the month of September, but we are excited to be back! Christy, Debbie and Laura do a deep dive into the emotional college-drop off, and Debbie talks about trips to Utah and California.
We already have lots of guests lined up for this season and we can't wait to share them with you - see you on the pod!
Jennifer Morgan joins us in our last Noisy Narratives Pod of season 4. Christy leads a discussion on where our hope for eternity is found, and how our understanding of who we are in Jesus shapes our view(s) of the future. We will be back in the fall for season 5. Have a great summer everyone!
Lisa Apple (Christy's sister) and Meg Parker-Wilson sit across the table to talk about their new musical soon to be hitting Broadway. Boy on Billboard is a moving portrait of a man struggling with mental illness, and his family's desperate attempts to help him. Lisa and Meg explain how the show seeks to demonstrate the constant up and downs of loving someone who wrestles with significant internal battles, while at the same time handling the material with love and care. Their sense of humor and realism is attractive in this space because tragedy can often overshadow joy. They are both immensely talented and we are very grateful to have this time with them!
Allison Bobbit and her family are long time Frisco First church attenders and members. Allison shares her journey with breast cancer, praying through boundaries with an alcoholic father, and how God has saved her from herself. Her gratitude and joy come through as she is sharing her story and we hope you are blessed by her testimony.
Jennifer Morgan is a friend of the Noisy Narratives podcast and we sit down with her to discuss how women often feel shame in our failures, and how God's love for us shines even in those moments. We hope you are encouraged to find joy in daily tasks and to love your people well in spite of our shortcomings.
Jaci Jackson sits down with us and shares the story of her son Daniel, and how she and her family are walking through loving and losing a son. Daniel loved people and his family, and blessed many with his smile and his joy. This story will make you cry, but it will demonstrate how every life is full of purpose and meaning. This podcast is a little longer than usual, we hope you are able to listen to the end.
Preschool director Ann Marie Lindig is here to discuss the new parenting podcast dropping next week featuring Ann Marie and Debbie. Christy asks lots of good questions and we dive into the purpose and structure of The Parenting Q&A Podcast.
Our Trends and Truth episode where we discuss social media and if the pros of "socials" outweigh the cons, misinformation and the Royal Family, and preparing our hearts and minds for Easter.
Chi Smith from Healing Thine Hearts located in the Hope Center in Plano, Texas sits down with us to talk about her testimony and how God helps us find balance and peace. Chi is full of joy and compassion as she shares how God is there for us when things with our body, heart, soul and mind are not working well together. She is insightful and fun to listen to - we hope you enjoy the conversations!
