What is the next word in verse 4, after Blessed is that man that? It is maketh: present tense, always, keeps making, keeps returning, in the times of being downcast and in the times when those a man had begun to love turn and go back to the pit. Read verse 12, where the man already brought up out of the horrible pit says his iniquities have taken hold upon him so that he is not able to look up, and ask what he does with that burden. Blessed is that man that maketh the LORD his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.

Is Deliver me from all my transgressions a confession of sin?
