Another great Humpday Happy Hour™ in the books! The DINKs had the honor of sitting down with Dr. Jose Chow to discuss dental CE, myofunctional therapy, updated orthodontic treatments and so much more!
Dr. Chow is a firm believer in the importance of continuing education in dentistry. As the specialty of orthodontics continues to evolve, he makes it a priority to stay up-to-date with the latest technological advances in the field. New techniques have allowed Dr. Chow to achieve better results in a more efficient manner, and sometimes with less discomfort.
Dr. Chow earned a BA in Human Biology from Stanford University in 2000 & received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio in 2004. He went on to complete his orthodontic residency and Certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas School of Dental Medicine in 2007. A native of El Paso, TX, Dr. Chow currently lives in Keller, TX with his wife, Lara, their two sons, David and Andrew, and a cat named Vegas. In his free time, Dr. Chow loves playing golf, snow skiing, traveling, spending time with family and friends, and anything having to do with college football.

On this episode of the news JB talks about the progress and anticipated start date of the Dentist and Dental Hygiene Compact. She also shares important CODA meeting details for those interested in having their voice heard.
We learned so much this week on Humpday Happy Hour™ when we chatted with Tim Cluley & Scott Boldt from one of our favorite partner organizations, Midwest Dental! We got an in-depth look at how different changes in the dental industry strongly impact independently owned dental practices, and how MPS & AIDA Programs can help in our ever-changing industry.
Tim Cluley has been Chief Operating Officer at Midwest Dental Equipment & Supply in Wichita Falls, Texas for over 32 years and is a board member for Texas Oral Health Coalition, Inc. as of the past four years. As a graduate of Midwestern State University, he values account management and business development within the dental industry as some of his top skills.
Scott Boldt is no stranger to dentistry, having a father that was in the industry. Based in Fort Worth, Texas, Scott graduated from Texas Christian University, where he met his wife Jill. Together they have three children. He is an award winning sales professional, published in magazines, and known for his hands-on approach and communication skills. He values maintaining strong client relationships built on trust and listening to his customers and going the extra mile to put their needs first. Besides his 22-year dental career, Scott enjoys spending time with his family, racing bikes, and playing guitar in his family band!

More legislative talk! Listen for new guidelines that might apply to you and your office.
Lots of legislative talk! The definition of medically necessary is being reconsidered by Medicare. This could widen the scope of what Medicare covers in the Dental office. Also we’re seeing some of the big dental groups pushing to include dental school in the student loan bills. Last but not least, JB touches on monkeypox.
🎉We had such a great time talking to this week’s Humpday Happy Hour™ guest, Certified Financial Planner® fiduciary, Todd Doobrow. As the spouse of a dentist who practices Periodontics and Implant dentistry in Cullman, AL, Todd has a unique glimpse into the dental world that many CFPs don’t get. His work allows him to guide dentists and effectively show them their "blind spots" when it comes to running their finances more efficiently.
Best thing about working with Tom? He works independently, so your relationship is more transparent than if you’re tied to a larger company. Being independent allows him access to the most up-to-date product offerings and technology. He provides a real-time, online, integrated platform to make sure your dental practice is equipped with comprehensive financial planning. By using these programs, his clients know where they stand in relation to their goals any day, time, or place.
Interested in working with Todd? Visit his website: https://www.curatoadvisory.com/
Mention that you heard about him from the DINKs to get a free initial consultation! This offer expires in 30 days!

The tooth fairy pays what??? Are her rates a good indicator of the status of our economy? We also touch on some interesting developments in non-competes from a court case in North Texas. Listen to catch up on the latest news!
🎉We had such a great time talking to this week’s Humpday Happy Hour™ guest, Dr. Miguel Vidal. From owning his own dental practice, to international dental lectures and an ongoing health & fitness journey - what can’t this guy do?!
Dr. Vidal has a private dental practice specializing in prosthodontics and implant dentistry in Winchester, MA. He holds a faculty appointment at Harvard School of Dental Medicine & also works as the staff Prosthodontist at the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) Division of Dentistry. As if his schedule wasn’t already full enough, he’s also active in the international dental lecture circuit where he speaks on topics related to implants, esthetics and full arch solutions. Tune in to hear him walk us through his Get Healthy Journey & how he balances a healthy lifestyle with a well-rounded dental career.
