He also serves as an Associate Director of the Stanford Institute for Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence or Stanford HAI, and is the Director of the Regulation, Evaluation, and Governance Lab (RegLab).  He received his J.D. from Yale Law School and Ph.D. from Harvard University and clerked for Judge Stephen F. Her dissertation examines the effect of information policy on the future of innovation and state power. Her writings have appeared in Foreign Policy Analysis, Harvard Business Review, World Economic Forum, and the Diplomat among others. She currently serves as a Fellow on the World Economic Forum's Global Future Council on China, and is a Young Leader with the Pacific Forum.
