The wizards reconvene after a long hiatus and reconnect over disconnection. Mark tells the tale of his supernatural Pacific Northwest encounter. Holmes explains his family’s death card games and Walker agrees that not all games should be played. Finally, the chiptune orchestra swells as the trio exclaim about their longest challenge yet: Chrono Trigger!

Holmes recalls a tale from his work as a barista. Walker is concerned about large stray animals IN THE OFFICE, WHERE PEOPLE ARE TRYING TO WORK. The Trio ruminate on their own experience with existential dread. Poems written about dead people by dead people are discussed and the episode ends with not a BANG but a whimper…

The Trio discusses their obsessions this week. Holmes likes DM’ing D&D. Mark likes to create things and wishes he could create more. The Trio expound upon the creation process, choosing to create, and not being afraid to put your work out there while also making it for yourself. Walker finds a pocket of subculture and calls it his home.

MARK’S CHALLENGE THIS WEEK: WRITE A FIVE PAGE SCRIPT

The Trio discusses their exodus from Twitter to the haven that is Discord. Fancy computers are announced and there is celebration and jubilation by all. Mark and Holmes upgrade their phones and Mark’s order was botched in his favor. Holmes and Walker try and fail at voice acting and Mark is the only person who shows up to class with his homework.

WALKER’S CHALLENGE THIS WEEK: LISTEN TO THE AUDIOBOOK “GOOD OMENS”

The Trio went on an adventure to Downtown and ate food prepared by wizards. Afterwards, they rode around they city on electric scooters and relived their childhood.

HOLMES’ CHALLENGE THIS WEEK: CREATE SOMETHING WITH A MEDIUM YOU’VE NEVER TRIED BEFORE

Mark is grumpy at social media and himself so he decides to salt the earth; Holmes eggs him on and Walker tries to suggest moderation. Walker was stuck in a hotel for a few days with crappy TV and bought an Amazon Fire TV Stick out of anger. A childhood friend disassembles Walker’s GBC and breathes new life into it. The Trio made some stuff and thinks you should too.

HOLMES’ CHALLENGE THIS WEEK: DO NOTHING FOR 1 HOUR

Walker explains the “benefits” of knocking back a pint of coffee while blasting music. Mark’s hand hurt so he buys a Wacom Tablet to alleviate the pain. Walker loves his Watch. Holmes is world-building and playing God. Afterwards, the Trio does nothing.

WALKER’S CHALLENGE THIS WEEK: LISTEN TO BACK TO WORK EP 1-10 The Trio try to address Walker’s addiction to stimulants and heavy drinking but he narrowly avoids deeper nuance by discussing theater popcorn and cotton candy profit margins. Walker is a broken human with no self control and too much money, so he bought a GBA SP immediately after the last episode to fill the hole in his soul. Holmes goes to a Nerd Store and Board Game Cafe for his birthday and is exasperated by plebs trying to get in on his sub-culture. Also, Walker **HATES** your Monopoly™️ house rules.

MARK’S CHALLENGE THIS WEEK: WATCH INVASION OF THE BODY SNATCHERS (1978) (Spoilers from 13:41 to 38:10)

The Trio buy another toy for their toy because they have have shaky hands, however they lack the upper body strength/endurance to hold a 10lbs gimbal for more than 5 minutes. Walker gets the gift of pure nostalgia for his birthday but it comes with the double edge sword of reality and he will probably spend more money on a deep dive into this obsession because he has no self control. Mark forces Holmes and Walker to watch a scary movie and the only way they can cope is to deconstruct it.
