Today I want to dismantle a taboo topic in the church—depression. There are Christians that will have you believe that you cannot be saved and depressed. That is false! In part one, I will be talking about my experience with depression as a Christian and how it shaped and affected my life. For so long, I was afraid to talk about it because I feared judgment from the Church (the Body of Christ). After previously talking about my suicide attempt and facing exclusion, I decided to be quiet. But here I am, years later, sharing my experience, hoping that it will help someone else out there! If I am getting through this, you CAN and you WILL, too! God got us!
