Purposely Anointed

Starting at a young, I became obsessed with the Halloween trilogy. I was a huge fan of Michael Myers and even called him my "man." Take a journey with me as I reflect on my obsession and how it interfered with my relationship with the Lord, how the Lord Jesus delivered me from this stronghold, and encourage others to learn from my journey with this horror film.

Being diagnosed with acid reflux was probably one of the more difficult things I had to learn to trust God in order to overcome. There is so much I have learned from this process. I saw the hand of God move in/over my life and experienced the healing hand of the Lord. I am finally ready to share how HE did it. I pray this blesses you and encourages you to hold on to the promises and Word of God!

Excuses? We’ve all had them. But what kind of excuses do you tend to utilize? It is important that you get to that place where you realize the excuses you’ve been using, replace those excuses with action and do better! God is waiting on you to enter your destiny! What are you waiting for?

In today’s episode, I discuss my struggles with being consistent with my ministry. For so long, I’d been giving God the run around, in regard to producing quality episodes for my podcast. God had been pouring out the ideas, using people to tell me to start it back up, and reminding me why I started it to begin with. But, I still couldn’t do it? Why? Why is consistency so hard? I think it’s because I gave up. I quit and this is why…

Today I want to dismantle a taboo topic in the church—depression. There are Christians that will have you believe that you cannot be saved and depressed. That is false! In part two, I will be talking about how we can take the necessary steps to overcome it, with some biblical encouragement, some sound advice, and some tips that have helped me to fight this deadly disease. Again, if I am getting through this, you CAN and you WILL, too!! God got us! [Disclaimer: This episode was previously recorded on September 21. I never released it because of laziness, fear, and depression, lol. But I finally did it!]

Today I want to dismantle a taboo topic in the church—depression. There are Christians that will have you believe that you cannot be saved and depressed. That is false! In part one, I will be talking about my experience with depression as a Christian and how it shaped and affected my life. For so long, I was afraid to talk about it because I feared judgment from the Church (the Body of Christ). After previously talking about my suicide attempt and facing exclusion, I decided to be quiet. But here I am, years later, sharing my experience, hoping that it will help someone else out there! If I am getting through this, you CAN and you WILL, too! God got us!
