Er ist Mitglied der Akademie für Ethik in der Medizin und Beauftragter des Zentralrats der Muslime in Deutschland (ZMD) für Med. Ethik, Tierschutz und Umwelt. Mit ihm spreche ich über das Sterben und den Tod im islamischen Glauben, aber auch über Palliativmedizin und die Organspende.

"Der Tod wird nicht mehr akzeptiert in unserer Gesellschaft", sagt Dr. med. Peter Gabriel, Rechtsmediziner bei den Sana Kliniken Duisburg zum Ende dieses Podcasts. Damit trifft er den Kern der ganzen Serie: "Der Tod wird als was schlimmes angesehen. Nichtsdestotrotz müssen wir uns damit abfinden."

In diesem Podcast führt uns Frau Prof. Dr. Katelijne Schiltz, Lehrstuhl für Musikwissenschaft an der Universität Regensburg, durch fünf Jahrhunderte Musikgeschichte. Von der Renaissance über den (Früh)Barock bis zu den Schrecken der Weltkriege erläutert Frau Professor Schiltz die Rolle des Todes in der Musik und die Besonderheiten der vorgestellten Kompositionen.
Frau Professor Schiltz widmet diese Folge ihrer Freundin Anna.

Die Stiftung Deutsche Bestattungskultur ist u. a. ideeller Träger der Plattform Friedhof 2030, auf der Informationen, Meinungen und Gedanken rund um den Friedhof gesammelt werden.
Kurzer Nachtrag: Im Gespräch weise ich darauf hin, dass das Verstreuen der Kremationsasche in Deutschland nicht möglich sei. Das stimmt jedoch nur zum Teil. In einigen Bundesländern ist das Verstreuen der Asche auf Friedhöfen auf speziell dafür vorgesehenen Flächen möglich. – Simon Walter
