It's April 16th, 1985, the day after Matt Dahl is born and Steve & Garry are on WLS89. Janet calls in, and there's some confusion about what to name the young Dahl child. I guess we're pretty glad we named him Matthew. He doesn't really seem like a Kevin.

It's April 1983, and Steve and Garry Are On WLS FM95. Maggie Brock is doing the news, and Rick Moranis is on the phone. A young Anthony DiGiovanni takes issue with Tony La Russa. Since Tony LR is not there to defend himself, it seems like an unfair fight.

This week's "Descent Into The Archives" features some classic Ed Farmer appearances on the Steve Dahl radio show from 1996 to 2006. There was no better person than Farmio, and he will be forever missed, by not just Sox fans, but anyone who ever knew him.

Part Two from Thursday March 8th, 1990 on WLUP FM98 features Richard Lewis at the helm of the Steve and Garry afternoon show. Lots of funny stuff, including a call from Keith Van Horne and one from Debra Winger, too. Richard was in fine form, as is usual.

I recorded the open/close Friday morning, & didn't understand if Garry and I were in HI waiting for Richard Lewis, or if we got back on the air the next Monday. I listened at my Nashville hotel Friday night, and I still don't get it, but it's very funny!

Part Two of a live BBQ/broadcast from my parent's backyard on March 1, 2002. Enjoy the general uneasiness that the Dahl family has with each other. I wasn't trying to show off, but somehow it got competitive. Ask Roger and Carol is a definite highlight.

Steve is live in his parent's backyard, as he in Los Angeles to tape an episode of The Weakest Link (he won, by the way). Roger, Carol and Rick are all happy to see him (somewhat). Lowen and Navarro stop by, as does Third Watch (NBC) producer, Ed Bernero.

This 1985 partial WLS FM show starts off with Ronald Reagan's daily schedule. People from Canfield's come by to drop off some product! Steve loves the Diet Fudge! Dan Fields is going to San Francisco! They pick Maui trip winners, & Dennis Franz calls in.

On Part Two of Steve and Gary's first Friday WLS FM show (they went there after getting fired from WLUP) the guys play Enquirer Roulette. Steve, idiotically, wants an El Rukn hat. Nicky, Chicago's most eligible bachelor drops by (tribute to Nick Nicholas).

It's Steve and Garry's first Friday broadcast on WLS FM 95.5 (actually 94.7). They're still a little gun-shy after being whacked at WLUP. Chuck Evans offers Steve a free gym pass and Steve doesn't like it. Did you know there used to be an iced tea season?
