We often use a couple of verses from the beginning of the writing of Jeremiah as a support against abortion - and rightly so. But have you ever thought about what God created you for? The passage says that He knew you, set you apart, and appointed you for His purpose even before you were formed in your mother's womb! He must really love you!

Mephibosheth was the crippled grandson of the former king, and Ziba was a servant of the former king. With the new King David in Israel, these two men and their families would now be outsiders. But King David does something special that restores them - an invitation as the result of a promise made with Jonathan.

What does it mean to be free from the law and yet also be a slave to all men? What is Paul getting at in his letter to Corinth and what do we learn?

There's a showdown brewing between Jesus and the Pharisees, and it's all about a man with a "shriveled" hand. Will Jesus heal on the Sabbath? Why would such an act be so important? Mercy!
