Song of Solomon 4:1-5:1. This text is a love poem from Solomon to his bride in which he anticipates being united in marriage. It's full of gushy compliments written to woo a woman, his woman; his bride. This text seems like an intimate, private poem for her eyes only but it isn't. It's been preserved for us to not only read, but to learn.

Ecclesiastes 2:12-26. Have you ever wondered what a meaningful existence looks like? Solomon tries various routes to find lasting meaning in his life. He comes to a simple yet profound conclusion that was true in his day and is true today.

Job 19:23-27. Job was a man who endured tremendous suffering. Throughout his suffering he maintains his righteousness and innocence and yet, the suffering continues. When all earthly comforts fail him, he looks to the One who will not fail.

Esther 9:20-28. God's people celebrate a victory over their enemies that the Lord had given them. It was to be a celebration that occurred annually to remind God's people of their deliverance but also to call others into the community of God's people.
