We welcome Dr. Pete Palomaki to the podcast! Pete is an expert in all things quantum dots, with a PhD in Chemistry from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, followed by work at National Renewable Energy Lab and several start-ups, all focused on harnessing the power of quantum dots. In 2017 he decided to start his own consulting company to help companies interesting in using quantum dot technology primarily for displays but has worked with multiple applications since.
Today on the podcast we have Dr. Mark Nicholson, Former CEO of Zemax LLC who worked with Dr. Ken Moore to grow his scientific software design tool into the widely beloved computational go-to for optical engineers everywhere. Mark holds a PhD in Physics from Imperial College London and has an extensive background in coding and designing optical imaging systems.
