When it comes to work, I can be disorganized. Which is why I rely on handy dandy resources to help me out. It's taken some time to find the right ones for me, and honestly they'll probably change over the years. But for now, I like them! I took the leap into my freelance career in 2022, and it has really challenged me to find resources that work, are efficient, utilize my time well and manage my time well so that I can be helpful for clients and my schedule. So this episode is all about proper bookkeeping, payment, video edits, my favorite podcast resources, team collaboration and streamlining all the things in our work life.

Magnesium is an important mineral! It’s great for bone health, preventing disease, helps your migraines, good for cardiovascular health, pms, anxiety. It plays such an important role in your health and your mood. BUT you want to know what depletes this awesome mineral in your body? Stress. So it's safe to say we should all be paying just a touch more attention to this handy mineral. :) But it’s not just "being stressed," it’s also exercising, fasting, high blood sugar, insulin resistance, sleep deprivation or even feeling anxious, this burns magnesium at a higher rate in your body. And we just talked about the benefits and importance of this mineral, so it’s probably a good idea to keep it around. But maybe you’re like me. The supplements and vitamins world seems intimidating. Studies change or you don’t even know where to start because the market is so saturated. I’m here to help you find something that works for you!

Let's unplug from social media! I can't be the only one thinking and feeling off when I consume too much social media. We talk all the time about our desire to grow closer to Christ but are we actually creating time for Him? I know scrolling social media has become a habit for me and unfortunately an idol. So my solution has been fasting. I'm not asking for anything radical, but I am challenging you to take it one day at a time and stay off social for 1 whole day and see how you feel. Mentally, spiritually and in relation with Jesus. Keep at it and there could be a habit that could flow into more than just 1 day.

Let go of the control. This coming from a person who unplugs toasters and never lets my husband drive the car. I have my fair share of 'control freak' moments. I stress myself out over situations and scenarios (frankly out of my control anyway.) What if I told you it didn't have to be this way? What if I told you I was getting better in loosening my grip and it's all thanks to God! There are things we can't explain in this world. There are things we cannot fix or prevent. So why are we letting this run our lives? Why aren't we choosing to rest in Christ? God is holy. Jesus is on the throne. Nothing shocks God, everything is in His perfect control. He's the one that's ultimately going to give us rest, peace and trust in Him. We can build habit here of daily dependance. We can keep coming back with consistency, knowing this make take time but with God's help anything is possible. He desires us to trust and rest in Him. It may just be as easy as...**in the words of Elsa from Frozen** Let it go.

We all know the importance of connecting and maintaining relationships. It's crucial for the human life. We know this right? We are coming out of a couple difficult years of isolation. It's so important to check in on people and create meaningful, intentional conversation. But trust me I'll be the first to say...life gets busy. We talk to the same 5 people every week and don't check up on our neighbors, coworkers or people we maybe don't agree with. We get in our little bubbles and never branch out into different friend groups or into the community. Don't get me wrong, the purpose of the orbit is focusing on the right things at the right times and if you're walking through a specific season that makes it challenging to build or maintain relationship (i get that) but don't underestimate the power of a small text or gesture. If this is a seasonally appropriate orbit for you, let's work on it with intentionality and as always, Christ central focused. This life category can be light, fun, easy and creative. I’m here to encourage and give ya some action steps to head into the weekend!

It's starting to get warmer outside, maybe you're like me a took a little break from your fitness habit and now you're ready to jump back in! Let's be real, it can be a little discouraging but I know from personal experience it's with small daily habits and a big love for God that we can show up every day and really celebrate our bodies. They're capable of so much and we can view this area of our life as a way to spend time with Jesus. Centering Him in our fitness orbit. Friends, we don't need to view fitness as a solution to problems or our identity, hope or happiness. Jesus Christ is always in the center of our lives and areas (even like working-out) can be God honoring and restful in Him. Give it a try!

No spend days are exactly as they sound. No spending money for 1 whole day! You may either think it sounds too easy or there's no way. I am challenging you to give it a try! Why? It's a great way to find your weak points when it comes to impulse spending. Notice habits in your emotions. Realize where your money has been going and help you create new and better money habits. It's refreshing to give yourself time to press pause, fast and gather your thoughts when it comes to stewarding your money. The goal is a challenge and a fast to re-center this category of Finance back on Jesus Christ in stewardship, obedience, worship and love!

I know one of the biggest challenges is purchasing, prepping and actually remembering to eat healthy snacks. But we can do this! Whole food snacks can be a game changer when it comes to your energy, blood sugar levels and overall health.
We can have whole food snacks ready to grab and go all week long. Snacks that keep us full, satisfied and challenge us to get creative with new flavor combinations. We just want to keep in mind that great combo pairing of macro + micro nutrients. Pairing carbs, sugar, fiber and protein so we can keep our blood sugar balanced and stay fuller longer.
As always, we are looking as these God central focused areas with a changed mindset, let's get snacking!

Let's be honest, sometimes it's hard to make time to read our Bibles. That doesn't make us bad Christians, maybe we just need to approach this area in a different way.
Firstly, I want to encourage you to view this as an invitation into a relationship with God, not an obligation or something to check off. If physically sitting down isn't seasonally realistic for you right now, it's ok! Being a mom of a toddler, trust me I know our hours are stretched. Here me out though, we shouldn't get discouraged because it doesn't look perfect. We can use resources right now, today, that are realistic for our seasons.
This episode we are focusing on creating a habit of listening to our Bibles. My audio Bible gave me the opportunity to hear it from another angle, listen to books I had never read, understand the Bible as a whole, pick up on patterns and build a habit that I've maintained for years.
