DesiQuest

This episode, we meet Sitara and Laddoo Auntie - who have been welcomed as respected guests in the palace - after weeks of attempting to reason with the King, trying to exonerate Murkha & Raj who have been less fortunate, and accused of crimes they did not commit.

Meanwhile, Ash has devoted himself to decoding the horoscope bestowed upon him by his late grandparents, hunkering down in the palace’s astrology tower.

Murkha and Raj find themselves imprisoned in the depths of a crypt, fighting off increasingly intrusive thoughts and dark magics that surround them.

Will Ash crack his grandparents’ code, the last gift he’ll ever receive from his family? Will Sitara and Laddoo Auntie convince the King to grant Will Murkha and Raj their freedom? Will Murkha and Raj hold onto their sanity?

Welcome to Winter in Vehaar! Our story begins just as the seeds of war are beginning to sprout, between our adventurers' home of Vehaar and the neighboring kingdom of Sindcastlin. It is in this choked climate that we meet our beloved heroes of Season 1 - Ash, Laddoo Auntie, Murkha, and Sitara - in an entirely new light. Behold! DesiQuest has returned, but things are... different.

Omar Najam and I, Sandeep Parikh, are all cozied up inside the teapot, steaming with excitement.  After every episode of DesiQuest is launched, we'll release another episode of the Tea Kettle with me and Omar and a very special guest, or guest from either behind or in front of the camera.

As the curtains draw close on a season sprinkled with laughter and insightful conversations, Omar and I, Sandeep, take you through a final stroll along the vibrant path of our creative journey in the Tea Kettle Finale. Join us as we take you through the highs of our recent live event at PAX Unplugged, where the energy of our enthusiastic supporters was nothing short of electric. Our episode takes an emotional turn as we explore the range of tabletop role-playing games (TTRPGs) and Sandeep brings a scene to life in a way that tugs at the heartstrings. We unravel the power of humor as a shield, revealing how TTRPGs offer a sanctuary for actors to navigate the complexities of their characters' lives, as well as their own. Later, we whisk you away to the unique atmosphere of Critical Role Live at Wembley, sharing candid moments and the sheer joy that comes from the unpredictability of the dice roll – proving that sometimes, a natural one can be as thrilling as a critical hit.

Episode Description:
When the kettle whistles and the tea is ready, it's time for the DesiQuest after-show—and what a show it is!

We're thrilled to share a candid chat about the unexpected crossroads of our schedules and the whimsical thought of a fundraiser to ensure our whole team can join in the fun. This episode isn't just about our shenanigans; we're joined by two exceptional talents: VoodooVal, the wizard of digital art, and Rekha Shankar, a wordsmith whose narratives captivate. Rekha teases us with tales from her latest project, 'Smarty Pants', while Val's artistic genius not only amplifies our show's aesthetic but also paints our Desi heritage in strokes of vibrant color.

Our conversation meanders through a series of appreciative toasts to the creative muses that are Val and Rekha, whose contributions are as indispensable as they are inspirational. I share a sneak peek into ABCD, the podcast that dissects American-born Desi experiences with the same vigor we tackle a plate of mom's samosas—spiced, satisfying, and leaving you hungry for more. As Omar and I recap the nail-biting, edge-of-your-seat combat from our latest episode, we acknowledge it's the support from our Patreon family that enables these moments to come alive. So, whether you're here for the dark fantasy, the cultural camaraderie, or the pure joy of our collective journey, this episode is a heartfelt 'thank you' wrapped in an invitation to continue this wild ride with us.
