I admit it… what I gave was love, and yes, it was attachment too. But what they gave was nothing but selfishness, and what they left me with were wounds. While hurting me, they never once stopped to think about what would become of someone who worshipped them in the temple of his heart— raising them as a goddess of love, a god of devotion. And what would happen to that heart when they passed by so close… yet looked away, avoiding my eyes.
