We as children of God should be “becoming” more and more like Jesus Christ. Our love for Him will show as we imitate Him with our lives.

Sometimes, the Lord leads you into the wilderness so that He can do a new thing in your life. He wants to bring a fresh encounter with Him, filling you with His Holy Spirit. Don’t question Him, but just begin to worship and He will give you a song in that time. As you come out of the wilderness your attitude is changed and you are filled with His power for you will find that He was there with you the entire time.

The wilderness times of life are difficult, but in them, God has a plan. He is working on you, sanctifying you, by separating you from the world and speaking to you so that you will come out of the wilderness more like Him.

When Jesus is the One leading you, and you follow in obedience, then you are able to go through any experience or wilderness that He brings you to. He will give you a word from His Word that will strength and empower you to face the difficulties there. For He is there with you guiding and teaching you so that you can come out the other side more like Him.

When I see Jesus for who He is, then the impurities of my own heart are brought to light and I can see the divisions in my own heart. One glimpse of Him will give me a greater vision of who God is and He will change me to be more like Him.

We must decide to get alone with God, enter into the tower and spend time with Him. For in that place God will meet us, give us a word and fill us with joy that will be the strength we need no matter the circumstances we face.

Sometimes there is a disappointment to our faith. We must decide to back away from the problem and get into our Tower, Jesus Christ, and there in His presence He will speak to us. He then becomes the sustaining power that will give fullness of joy in the midst of the difficult situation. The Lord does this to develop us as He also delivers us.

Have you ever been disappointed that God has not answered your prayer? Have you ever wondered why the righteous suffer at the hands of the wicked? Or maybe you have questioned if God really cares for you? You are not alone, many have suffered from these same disappointments. Within the Bible we find the honest truth of the weakness of our own hearts. God wants you to be honest with Him. He will be a tower of refuge for you, for He has an answer for you.

When we compromise, we never influence others for Christ. In fact, our compromise will cost us and affect those we love. We must get back to living for Jesus, now. Make Him the treasure of your heart, and you will safely arrive where God has called you.

Christian, be sure that you are not leaning toward the world allowing it to draw you in and, in doing so, spiraling down into a compromised lifestyle. How you decide to live will influence those around you, leading them towards the Lord or possibly pushing them away from Him. Your influence is great! Don’t compromise, keep the Lord ever before you.
