Here's one more dBMcast for 2012 and the first to actually feature some of the soundstick recordings captured at Burning Man 2012. dBMcast #117 features Moontroll of Get Found reporting from the road to Gerlach, and from the exciting moment when one's vehicles leaves pavement and hits the playa, and from the line to get in to the city when a whiteout dust storm stopped all movement. Moontroll is geared towards that once-a-year passage through the Portal to the other side, and his excitement is palpable. Ride shotgun with him as he approaches the Threshold to another world of magic and mystery, a journey with an undulating soundtrack of forward-leaning bass music that touches on electroboogie, dub step, ambient, world beat, breaks and other styles.

As this mix is about thresholds, portals, journeys and crossings, you'll also hear contributions from Terrence McKenna speaking on UFOs and spirit molecules and a science report on recent NASA searches for elusive portals that spontaneously open and close in the Earth's magnetosphere.
