Do you ever wonder what your reaction would be if you audibly heard God's voice speaking to you?  Israel's reaction may not be what we would expect, but God speaks to the nation, giving what is commonly known as the Ten Commandments.  Does this still have application to our lives today?  Absolutely.

Do you ever feel like you have to "do it all" yourself?  The truth is none of us, no matter how gifted, are called to do everything, and the wisest leaders will understand that we can accomplish much more together than we can on our own.  As Moses gets a lesson in leadership in Exodus Chapter 18, we all can learn how God desires to release blessing through our own story.  (Note: This message also begins a series on core values of our Regions Beyond churches.  This first installment reminds us of the importance of leadership teams.)

Has God promised to meet all of our need, or all of our greed?  When things seem difficult, it can be so easy to grumble and complain to others about our circumstance, but there is a better way to handle difficulty!  As Moses and the people of Israel encounter hunger and thirst, we learn more of God's provision for us too.

God is never wandering, but is working, even in our desert times.  Even when we feel trapped or tempted to give up and go backward, God provides a way forward.  As Israel faces the Red Sea on one side and the Egyptian army on the other, God has a plan.

Pharaoh's stubborn refusal to obey God may seem crazy to modern ears, yet the call of God to obey Him still requires a response today. In this overview of Exodus Chapters 7-12 the finale will point to Christ, our Passover Lamb, and lead us to the blessing of responding in faith to God's instruction for our lives.

When Moses encounters God he feels inadequate for the purpose God has for him.  God reveals Himself to Moses - and to us - as I AM.  What does this mean for our lives today?  Who is God, and what is He promising?

Will God's plan for you overcome all the challenges you've had to face?  Can He work something good from your life and our lives together?  Our answer to these questions profoundly affects our outlook on life, our ability to forgive, and our ability to trust God.

When heaven's glory breaks into the lives of some blue collar guys working the night shift, the best way to describe them may simply be "terrified!"  We may also be more than a little afraid of God really and truly entering our lives, but He has provided a remedy to our fear.  Luke 2 reveals Jesus as not only the remedy for our fear, but the reason for great joy!

Does God really have a plan for our lives?  Even if it looks nothing like what our plan would be?  No matter who you are, or what your past may be, God is able to work out something good.  Really.

Do you ever feel like you're wrestling with God, like His timing is different than yours, or circumstances just seem difficult?  Jacob finds himself between a rock and a hard place, and as he wrestles with God he receives something more than he was looking for... a new identity.  In this story of Jacob from Genesis Chapters 30-33 we tap into God's blessing and identity for us as well, found ultimately in Jesus.
