I have these dreams of building a big legacy for my family. However, this year I tended to focus on the financial side a lot, which means lots of work. What I’m learning now is that the time I spend at home just chilling, reading books to Montana, watching tv/praying with/listening to my wife is where even more riches exist.

One thing that I learned this year, as a father and a husband, is that these are the big leagues. I am married and I have a kid and I didn’t feel prepared.

I felt like nobody really really told or showed me what it would take to lead a family. Now, I realize that this is the biggest stage of my life.

I used to be baffled at how married men would talk about not having sex with their wives. I just couldn’t understand. Now I do. Because of familiarity, a lack of planning, and small children, being intimate may not feel like the stories we were told by the media.
