Romans 12:1 “Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer YOUR BODIES as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God--this is your spiritual act of worship.” (NIV)

In this teaching we look at what it really takes to change, and some of the issues around making real lasting change. We explore Romans 12 and find the first twelve verses give us six principles for lasting change.

Proverbs 4:20-22, 20 My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. 21 Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart; 22 For they are life to those who find them [this process was more than just reading the Bible. It was reading the Bible in such a way as to find out how to receive what God was offering.], And health [medicine] to all their flesh. (NKJV)

God is promising us something that would be medicine that would bring health to all our flesh. He also gave us the directions to this medicine, just as a doctor would on a medicine bottle. There are four specific instructions for taking God's Word as medicine for the physical body 1) Attend to my Words, 2)Incline your ear to My sayings, 3)Do not let them depart from your eyes, 4) Keep them in the midst of your heart.

We need to have the above attitude to take on this New Year . There are going to be battles that we will face and like Paul instructed Peter, we must be prepared to fight the good fight of faith! In this message we look at three battles that we will face and three weapons that every believer has at their disposal.
