Sometimes you don't discover that God can keep you in the fire until you're standing in one.

Pastor Chris preached a deeply personal message today that so displayed the power of God in our lives. He taught about being anchored in the fire and said that we need to stop being surprised by the fire, stop wasting what the fire can produce, make sure your suffering is for the right reasons, and trust God with what you can’t control. 

Faith isn't always knowing what God is doing. Sometimes faith is knowing God well enough to trust Him when you don't. Will you choose to trust Him this week?

You are not waiting on eternity. You are preparing for eternity by how you live today.

Pastor Chris was back in the pulpit today with a message that everyone needs to hear. He taught that with the short time we have in mind, we must stay clear enough to pray, love deep enough to cover, make room without complaining, and don’t waste what God has put in you.

The old way was good. The new way is better. Jesus’ way is better.

Victory under pressure begins with decisions made before the pressure arrives.

Pastor Chris brought a powerful and transformative message today about being anchored under pressure. He taught that blessed is not the same thing as comfortable, settle who sits on the throne, live so hopeful that they have to ask, and to make sure the accusation doesn’t fit.

You can’t control what people say about you but you can control whether it's true. How will that change how you stay anchored under pressure this week?

There is always a cost to worshipping God in the manner that He is worthy of.

Our worship pastor, Josh Young, brought a powerful message this morning about the cost associated with worshipping the God of the universe. He taught that worship carries a cost, revelation determines our response, and that it isn’t only about what is offered, but also what we are still holding onto. 

The fear of the Lord leads to surrender, and surrender opens us to deeper friendship with God. Are you willing to give up the temporary for intimacy with Jesus?

We are living in the golden age of outrage. The way that we treat people is deeply connected to the way we walk with our God.

Pastor Chris preached an incredible message about the power of remaining anchored together. He taught that we are called to love the family that we have, not the fantasy that we have created.

Your words build the world you have to live in. What kind of world will you build?

You'll never argue anybody into the Kingdom, but a life that looks like Jesus just might lead them there. 

Anchored In Marriage was the 9th message in our Anchored series and Pastor Chris preached from 1 Peter 3:1-7. He taught that we should be able to win them without a word, build beauty from the inside out, honor your spouse like an heir, and protect the prayers of your home. 

Charm can get you noticed, but character is what gets remembered. Will your character carry you this week? 

Sometimes silence is the greatest strength in the room.

Pastor Chris continued in our series on the book of 2 Peter and brought an incredible message on the importance of endurance. He taught that Anybody can endure what they had coming. It takes grace to endure what you didn't. 

Unfair doesn’t mean unseen. If you’re walking through unfair treatment, be encouraged. You are seen by the greatest and most righteous judge!

When Jesus sees you, where are you?

Are you trying to hide from Him, or are you looking for Him? This morning we welcomed Dr. Elton Brooke, one of our elders, into the pulpit and he taught from John chapter 1. From the story of Nathaniel under the fig tree, we learned that Jesus sees us, knows us, and invites us to Himself.

What does God most deeply want for us? Relationship with Him. Will you choose that peace this week?
