When we think about Easter, it’s easy to focus on the cross, the empty tomb, and the hope we have in Christ. But before the resurrection, there was a betrayal. Judas traded Jesus for thirty pieces of silver. Most of us would like to believe we would never do such a thing. 
Yet if we’re honest, we often trade Christ for far less.

Where do we exchange devotion to Jesus for comfort, control, power, approval, security, or other idols? What are the “thirty pieces of silver” in our own lives? We are invited to repent, lay down our idols, and treasure Christ above everything else.
