Ed Gein was a disturbed young man who had a very mentally ill mother, who was both verbally and physically abusive to him. Over time due to some of his own mental illness and mother's abuse, Ed became very confused and and paranoid. At his mother's death, the one string off sanity he clung to broke, and the sheer horror of what ed's abilities rocked the town of Plainfeild.
