In this episode of the Teach Middle East Podcast, we examine the findings of research carried out by the Council of International Schools in association with George Mason University, to determine the diversity baseline in International schools.

The discussion panel included:
Anne Hilbert: Anne Hilbert is completing a two-year internship at the Council of International School where she supports research initiatives, focusing on diversity and salary equity for school leaders. Anne is completing a Master’s in Statistics and Data Science at Leiden University in the Netherlands.

Alejandra Neyra: Alejandra Neyra is the Data Analyst & Business Intelligence Manager at the Council of International Schools (CIS). Alejandra is responsible for providing relevant data analysis and reporting across the organization for 1320 institutions across 123 countries. Her work focuses on diversity and salary equity for school leaders in international schools. Alejandra is a member of the CIS I-DEA Board and the Diversity Collaborative Data Committee.

Kimberley Daly, PhD.  : Dr Kimberley Daly has 27 years of experience in educational, research, and academic environments and currently serves as the coordinator for Project ExCEL-Ignite, a Jacob K. Javits federally-funded (USA) grant that works with teachers and schools to use problem-based learning as a universal screening tool to identify under-represented students for advanced coursework. Additionally, Dr Daly teaches graduate education coursework to pre-and in-service teachers at George Mason University in Virginia (USA).

Dana Specker Watts, PhD:  Experienced Director Of Learning, Research and Outreach with a demonstrated history of working in the international education industry. Skilled in Technology, Curriculum, Lesson Planning, and Adult Education. Strong research professional with a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD focused on Educational Leadership and Administration from the University of Kentucky.
