  • Geggy - Bailando Con La Lucha
    Spain meets Trinidad & Tobago on this collaboration between Rapso artist Geggy and Detnator.
    Lyrics:
    BAILANDO CON LA LUCHA
    Bailando bajo la tormenta,
    verás al que ataca sin defensa;
    picos, palas, uñas y dientes,
    carne, asador, pasión y fuego;
    restriego mi humildad,
    enjuago mis heridas,
    escurro mi alegría
    aunque te escueza después de tu jodienda;
    en la calle levantan los puños,
    en los corazones golpean los tambores,
    ocio creativo y furia positiva,
    bueno para ti y para los demás,
    la llave;
    bueno para ti y para los demás,
    la clave;
    bueno para ti y para los demás
    pero ante todo para tí.
    La revolución te espera, si te apasiona,
    de lo contrario, elige a otra;
    sonrisas envuelven situaciones mal dadas,
    mañana manadas saldrán a la batalla,
    avalanchas de la Sierra Maestra a la Sierra Nevada pasando por Trinidad;
    penitencias ahorcadas entre cañas y balas son dignidad.
    Yo gozo. Y si me tumban, mala suerte. Pero gozo.
    Bailando bajo la tormenta de arena,
    hay steel bands en los suburbios,
    bajan al centro cuando el gobierno lo ordena,
    en Carnaval o antidisturbios;
    la fiesta continúa como la lucha sigue;
    la lucha es la fiesta del pueblo organizado;
    la fiesta es la lucha del pueblo concienciado.
    Trinidad y España tienen conexión.
    Detnator y Geggy, una Rapso Explosión.
    Yo gozo. Y si me tumban, mala suerte. Pero gozo.
    No me hundirás en un pozo de la amargura,
    por ello juego mis cartas con soltura.
    El juego de la vida son los días,
    y la apuesta es disfrutarlos.
    Basarlo todo en el futuro es la última vía.
    Rutinas y rutinas devoran mis escualos.
    Yo gozo. Y si me tumban, mala suerte. Pero gozo.
    Los golpes necesarios se convirtieron en niebla,
    y la niebla en señal de vida que riega mi arma con alma;
    y el alma ya no siente el peso del "no puedo" como una piedra,
    y esta piedra te jode el pie si pateas mi alma con arma;
    cantando bajo la tormenta,
    verás al que defiende su despensa;
    picos, palas, uñas y dientes,
    carne, asador, pasión y fuego;
    esfuerzo y emoción;
    estruendo y diversión.
    Yo gozo. Y si me tumban, mala suerte. Pero gozo.
    Translation:
    DANCING WITH THE STRUGGLE
    Dancing in the storm,
    you will see the attacking undefended;
    pickaxes, shovels, nails and teeth,
    meat, stove, passion and fire;
    scrubbing my humility,
    rinse my wounds,
    I wring my joy
    although annoy you after bugging;
    on the street fists raised,
    in hearts beating drums,
    leisure creative and positive fury,
    good for you and for others,
    the key;
    good for you and for others,
    the key;
    good for you and for others
    but above all for you.
    The revolution awaits you, if you are passionate about,
    otherwise, choose another;
    smiles involve difficult situations,
    morning herds will to battle,
    avalanches of the Sierra Maestra to the Sierra Nevada through Trinidad;
    pints and bullets, hanged penances are dignity
    I joy. And if I lie down, bad luck. But joy.
    Dancing in the sandstorm,
    There are steel bands in the suburbs,
    goes to the city center when the government orders,
    in carnival or riot;
    the party continues as the struggle continues;
    the struggle is the party of organized people;
    the party is the struggle of conscious people.
    Trinidad and Spain have connection.
    Detnator and Geggy, a Rapso explosion.
    I joy. And if I lie down, bad luck. But joy.
    You will not plunge into a well of bitterness,
    why I play my cards with ease;
    the cards of life are the days,
    and the bet is to enjoy them.
    Base everything in the future is the latter route.
    My dogfish devour routines and routines
    I joy. And if I lie down, bad luck. But joy.
    the necessary blows became fog,
    and fog becomes rain that waters my soul weapon;
    the "I can't" isn't strong in my soul like a stone,
    this stone hurts you in the foot if you kick my soul with gun;
    singing in the storm,
    You will see that defends your larder;
    pickaxes, shovels, nails and teeth,
    meat, stove, passion and fire;
    effort and emotion;
    DIN and fun

    Curious' lyrics and flow bring a gritty feel to this new futurerapso release. Enjoy.
    Lyrics:
    [CHORUS]
    no one but yuhself to blame
    yuh get caught in a storm and yuh know the name
    no one but yuhself to blame
    yuh get caught in a storm and its hard to tame
    try to diss
    yuh shoulda check the list
    of all the specialists who done laid to rest
    so invest in a vest
    to go cover yuh chest
    unless yuh like the mess
    when bullets digest
    you know this
    notice we're the oldest
    fold this, try hard still cyah mould this
    hold this lemme unfold and roll this
    light up the fire leh we show you the boldest
    nigga focus
    like a brand new ford
    you might win an award
    if you get an applaud
    but you bogus
    pull the wrong chord
    your lyrics are fraud
    your lyrics are what?
    and you told us
    was a child of the corn
    star when you perform
    you buss de corn
    must be corn puffs
    not putting it on
    curious detnating off the bomb
    CHORUS
    step up in de ring Curiously in the game
    we know every style I bring cause we always talk plain
    not about survival, perfect the aim
    enemies' arrival hope for the fame
    since my arrival yuh tarnish the name
    now I know yuh feeling idle now feel the pain
    message is so vital never diss again
    you could never take the title lyrics are too lame
    know I have yuh curious in the back of yuh brain
    yuh wondering is he serious or is he insane
    he drop bombs so delirious, bin laden
    all over yuh areas like voter padding
    now wait, hold on a minute, let me explain
    before yuh visiting the morgue with some hole in yuh brain
    yuh treat man like dog and walk over like drain
    and true man love god but defend it the same
    [CHORUS]
    from when dem pick up all the gun that badman go lend dem
    think about the war we nah mix and blend dem
    check for the message that the Ringo dan send dem
    they don't know justice is the Curious emblem
    realize that they live like heathen
    show them the signs but dey still not reading
    wont be curious when yuh head back bleeding
    me beg dem slow down but the still be speeding
    talk all yuh talk but dem gone ah lead
    see all the signs saying dont proceed
    thats why dem gone with greed ting

  • Preedy | Ouri - Surreal Drums [Detnator Remix]
    The mystery in the power of rhythm described by Preedy in his 2016 release "Drums" is an integral part of our African ancestry and our experience here in the Caribbean.
    Ouri's "Surreal" was hands down one of the best songs released in 2015. The lush and haunting soundscape provided the perfect elements to marry with Preedy's vocals.
    The outcome is a unique blend of Soca & Minimal House to give you something that can only be described as "magical".
    Enjoy.
