How permanent or immovable are some of the laws in Deuteronomy?

Inspired with a changed view of the world after Jesus, the New Testament apostles didn't always follow the letter of the law from Deuteronomy. Even within a few generations of the context of Deuteronomy there are biblical examples of some flexibility. We look at a few interesting examples, and explore what this means for a contemporary engagement with this book.
