On this week’s episode of Wreck Your Perfection, I have the honor of speaking with Coach Valorie Kondos Field, also known as Miss Val. She is the Former Head Coach of the UCLA Women’s Gymnastics team, and despite never having done gymnastics in her life, she led her team to 7 NCAA Team Championships, was inducted into the UCLA Athletics Hall of Fame, and was voted PAC 12 Coach of the Century. In this interview you’re going to hear real talk about how she transformed herself from a dictating leader into a curious and supportive coach, how she created an atmosphere of encouragement and trust, and what it means to redefine success and create champions in life.
