Developing Self-Discipline

1 Corinthians 9:24-27

The crown the runners received was a wreath which soon wilted, while the reward of the faithful Christian would last forever. Also, in the races only one person could win, while in the kingdom of God, every child of God has the potential for success. But there was one thing that Paul felt that each Christian had in common with the athletes—he or she needed discipline.
