This week I spoke about the idea of being original, and whether or not it's actually possible.
Throughout my own career, I've used the process of reverse engineering other peoples work as a form of education, and I think that by allowing yourself to take inspiration from others, you'll garner the knowledge and tools necessary in order to create your own style. So rather than seeking out originality, you should instead look to combine the work of your idols into a new piece of creativity, which to onlookers, will appear to be an original.
